Deene Park

Deene Park the beautiful home of the Brudenell family situated in the stunning countryside of East Northamptonshire. Deene Park has been owned by the family for five hundred years.

the current owner is Mr Robert Brudenell who lives here with his wife Charlotte and their son William.

The house, gardens and parkland are open to the public on Sundays and bank holiday Mondays during the summer months, and for private group tours on selected days throughout the year. These and other events are listed in the What’s On page.

Visitors to Deene Park can expect to see a minimum of nine rooms, all of which are still used by the family and their visiting guests. Each has its own charm and style incorporated in the architecture, décor, furnishings, art and family collections. A dedicated team of volunteer guides are on hand to welcome you and impart their expert knowledge of the history of the house and the Brudenell family. Most notable of the family ancestors is the 7th Earl of Cardigan who led the Charge of the Light Brigade; the house contains a collection of memorabilia from Crimea and in particular a fine collection of the 7th Earls uniforms.

The formal garden is made up of a series of smaller gardens each with its own distinctive planting, from the Parterre designed by David Hicks which incorporates topiary teapots, (a nod to the late Edmund Brudenells’ love of England’s favourite beverage) to the White Garden recently developed in memory of his wife the late Mrs Marian Brudenell.
