Each year on the 1st January Spanhoe Lodge hosts the annual New Year’s Day Horseshoe throwing competition. Spanhoe Lodge having quite a lot of ground lends itself to being an ideal venue for the competition. We then serve a selection of hot and cold food and of course the bar is open. Each year the event grows in numbers and great fun was had by all who attended.
For the second year, we decorated our building inside and out spending a fortune on Christmas lights to raise money for local Lakelands Hospice. Each year the display grows, and Friday 30th November was the day it was all turned on.
For the third consecutive year, Spanhoe Lodge an 8-bedroom B&B in Laxton decorated its buildings and grounds both inside and out with Christmas lights to raise money for Lakelands Hospice throughout December 2019.
